And while that 16 year old drowned, a 20 year old who was shot yesterday, succumbed to his injuries today.
Coby Ledlon was shot around 10:30 on Iguana Street in Belize City. He was hit to the head and lived for 24 hours before he succumbed to his injuries around noon today.
Ledlon was standing in front of a gate on Iguana Street when he was approached by a gunman who shot him twice.
His family is calling for peace and has organized a candle-light vigil - which was scheduled to start a short while ago in the KHMH parking lot.
