And that dismissal may have been one of his last big decisions in the top cop's chair, because as you heard the Compol Chester's last day is Friday. OR is it? The Ministry of Home Affairs sent out a just plain confusing press release today saying, quote, "that a structured, one-month orderly transition process will commence immediately to facilitate a smooth handover of the responsibilities of the Commissioner of Police. At the conclusion of this transition period, Dr. Anthony R. Rosado will officially assume the role of Commissioner of Police.
So, is Chester actually leaving tomorrow, after all? Well, the Cabinet Secretary Stuart Leslie told KREM News today that Williams is to report to work at the Ministry of Constitution and Religious Affairs, Indigenous Affairs and Transportation on Monday. He said that is the understanding and expectation of the Prime Minister's Office.
We do know that a change of command ceremony has been planned for Wednesday April 30th.
So, which is it? Well, like any good soap opera, we just have to keep watching….
