ComPol Says Immigration Should Have Detained Taylor At Free Zone
Tue, April 22, 2025
And with all that occurred at immigration and even after he was removed from the Freezone why was Taylor still not detained? The compol maintains that it's the immigration who should have grabbed him first at the border.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"If the police were to find you sleeping upon an abandoned building, that could be an offence found upon a building but it has to be more than that, is there anything inside the building he could have stolen? I don't think so. It is an abandoned building so that would change the dynamics of it and then."

"But in the free zone itself?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"In the free zone itself again if you are in the Freezone, it is not a police issue it is more of an immigration issue right because then it would have been something more in line with being illegal into the country right? So again, I am not aware if immigration was told of that. I don't know. But if he was found in the Freezone then it would have been more of an immigration issue than police issue."

Our information is that when he was detained in the Free Zone police were called and he did appear to be a threat - but he was released after being briefly held - and, again, no one called his embassy.
