Darrington Luriano Escapes for 24 Hours of Freedom
Fri, October 13, 2006

He's accused of murder, and tonight escape artist Darrington Luriano is back in police custody. Luriano escaped from the Hattieville Prison early yesterday morning. But this fugitive would only have 24 hours of freedom. This morning at 8:30 CIB personnel descended on a home in the North Creek area and found him. The man who escaped along with him, Alfred Tillet is still at large, but police and prison authorities are confident that they will also recapture him.

Luriano had similarly escaped in September of 2004 and was found two months later in the same North Creek area. He is accused of the January 2004 murder of Kareem Broaster in the very same North Creek area. He is awaiting a retrial on that case.
