San Pedro was one of the first municipalities to open shelters. It has also had the greatest number of evacuees leaving the island town. The area rep shared the numbers today and we have footage from the San Pedro Sun of a town that looks ready to sleep out this one:

Andre Perez, Minister of the Ministry of Blue Economy and Disaster Risk Management
"4,328 people have left the islands, both islands. And also roughly about 1500 passengers have left by the air as well. So it's a significant amount of people that have taken precautions to seek shelter outside of the islands."

Wally Nunez, San Pedro Mayor
"You can clearly see that there's not much people on the street because there's a lot of people already who left the island. So if you if we can put a word to it it would be like a ghost town out there. We don't have much people going around. Earlier today, we had some people that were doing their last minute shopping."

"But after everything closed down at 12 o'clock well, everybody went back home."
