And there was another fire today, this time in Belize City. Sometime before midday, wooden house on St Peter's Street, near All Saints Primary School, went up in smoke. While no one was injured, the home and its contents were destroyed.
Still, the neighbors rushed out to ensure that no one was harmed and to help however they could. The resident of the house, a teacher, declined to give an interview as she could only watch in despair at the remains of her house.
At the time, fire personnel were on the scene investigating. BEL personnel were also called in to deal with the electricity lines in the area.
