posted (May 10, 2023)
Yesterday we told you that 18-year-old Kriston Francis had been charged for the murder of 29-year-old Adrian Pook, who was killed right outside his yard. Well, today, Francis was in court to answer to the charge.

He appeared before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford but no plea was taken due to the nature of the offense. Bail was also denied and he was remanded at the Belize Central Prison until July 10th.

At the arraignment, the chief magistrate asked Francis about the injuries to his face and body, and Francis explained that he was hurt during the incident. He bore injuries to his left ring finger, as well as his face, back, and neck.

According to Pook's father, he'd had to wrestle the gun away from him, and that in order to subdue Francis, they had to hit him in his head. It was sometime during this struggle that Pook was shot as he peered over the fence.
