And while police are still looking for Galvez's killer, today, an accused murderer walked out of court a free man. 24-year-old Darnel Arnold was charged with murder of 31-year-old Phylmore King, and in the court of Justice Ricardo Sandcroft, Crown Counsel Reese Cattouse entered a nolle pros, indicating that the Crown will not proceed with the trial.
The case for the Crown was weak because two key witnesses refused to testify. The incident occurred shortly after 5pm on June 9, 2018. King was at his residence, located at 275 Peter Lewis Street in Hattieville, when his assailant went to his house and called him. As he came out on the verandah, King was shot several times. He was pronounced dead on arrival at KHMH. Police detained Arnold shortly after the incident. He was an employee of Princess Hotel and Casino at the time.
Arnold was represented by attorney Arthur Saldivar.
