After months of delays, when each member was challenged for the appearance of bias, the three person Appeals Tribunal to review the DOE's Decision on the Port of Belize Expansion and Cruise Tourism Project decision held its first meeting yesterday. The sessions are closed, but we do know it was chaired by justice Patricia Farnesse with an appearance by new member Mark Lizarraga.
GODFREY SMITH appeared for Waterloo Investments while Ben Juratowich appeared for the DOE. Reports say that due to skirmishing on technicalities - the proceedings were deferred to a later, as yet unspecified date.
