DYS Deputy Dir. Kevin Cadle’s Academic Record Questioned
posted (September 15, 2023)
Over the years, Kevin Cadle has become synonymous with the Department of Youth Services - but tonight sources tell us he's under a cloud of suspicion for possible academic fraud.

7News has received a document from the Assistant Registrar of the University of the West Indies to the head of its local campus. It explains that Cadle did not complete the MBA program he was a part of in 2006/2-7. The letter says he withdrew in 2008/2009 and did not complete the MBA program. It's consequential because reports say he presented his employer which is the government of Belize - with credentials suggesting he has completed this course.

Our reports say that Cadle is on leave with the Public Service Commission looking into the integrity of his academic record.

We asked the CEO Adele Catziim for a comment, but she would only say that he is on leave.

Cadel told us the same but added it's just "Nonsense and foolish rumors." He urged us to quote, "Please stop listening to rumors."

When we told him of the written communication he said, quote, "What that has to do with anything? Just be careful of the information you receive and what you do with it because I am telling you your information about my career is false. I have been in youth work over 30 years in Belize, qualified, recognized throughout the Caribbean and other countries. My work speaks for itself. Don't let anyone set you up to put false information out there. I doubt that there is any other youth worker in country qualified and trained as me. So your information is not truthful."

We also reached out to the Minister for comment, but he did not respond.
