The Belize Civic center was invigorated with energy this morning, as a sea of red white and blue flags filled the complex, with kids cheering and chanting in celebration of this year's annual Children's Rally. Up to 24 Belize District Schools, roughly 3,000 students swarmed the dance floor and joined in the jump up where patriotism was at its peak. We caught up with the Minister of Education who was pleased to see this year's robust turn out.
Francis Fonseca, Minister of Education "It's one of the most beautiful things we see every year, we get to experience it we feel the energy and passion and love from these young people you know it's fantastic it's one of the best things I was telling the CEO its one of the greatest things I enjoy about being the minister of Education getting the opportunity to participate in events like this its all about love for Belize it's all about our young people understanding and appreciating that they are proud Belizeans and it gives us an opportunity to celebrate them. So it's a fantastic, fantastic day and the same thing is happening all across the country its wonderful i've gotten pictures from all over the country, kids energized and very happy, and loudly and proudly proclaiming their love for Belize."
