A Belizean bus driver is in big trouble with Mexican traffic authorities tonight after he crashed into a woman on a motorcycle - fortunately, he didn't kill her.
It happened on the road into Calderitas, which is just north of Chetumal.
According to Chetumal news outlets, both the Gillharry bus and the motorcycle were at the roundabout at the entrance to Calderitas, when the bus driver tried to merge into the lane to his left, and appears to not have seen the motorcycle, and crashed into it, crushing the bike, but not the driver.
Mexican news outlets say one woman was trapped under the bus and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The bus driver has been detained.
