Boledo is back! Well, almost. After six months, the government has finally announced that the sale of Boledo will resume on December 1st, with the first drawing being held on Sunday, December 3rd. This also includes the Ordinary and Jackpot Lottery as well.

It will all be run by the Government Lotteries Limited, which is owned by GOB, and is mandated to administer, sell and promote lotteries.

On June 12th, the invitation to bid for the provision of service as Master Agent for the sale of lottery tickets was initiated through an open tender process. That selection process has concluded and the successful applicants are Nando's Wholesale and MGM Entertainment.

Nando's will be in charge of selling to the Belize district, whereas MGM will handle the other five.

While the government has lost six months of revenue, they add that under this new regime, the revenue will directly impact the lives of all Belizean through the expansion of social safety net programs like the HNI and Official Charities Fund.
