In November of 2021, Benque Viejo resident Brian Castillo was accused of killing his common law wife and stepdaughter, 33-year-old Jennifer Archila and 12-year-old Nitzia Catzim. He then ran over to Guatemala where he was caught in san Benito Poite - and allegedly confessed to the murders.
He was returned to Belize where he has been on remand pending his murder trial. Well, tonight he is on the run after escaping from the police. The prison has sent us multiple pictures of him to show different appearances based on how he is wearing his hair.
Not much details are known about the escape but the prison has confirmed that Castillo and another prisoner escaped from police while returning to the prison from a court date in Belmopan.
That other prisoner is William Carabantes, A. Belmopan resident who is on remand for rape. He is accused of picking up a hitchhiker in Camalote and taking her down to the Valley of Peace Road where he raped her.
Anyone seeing these men is asked to call the police- who, w must note, have not put out any bulletin about their escape.
