A man saved himself about 5 years in prison when he pleaded guilty to rape.
30 year old Ignatius Williams pleaded guilty in December and spared the victim from having to testify against him.
Because of the plea, Justice Candace Nanton reduced his sentence by just under 5 years, and sentenced him to 8 years 3 months.
The rape occurred at the woman's home in August of 2019.
Williams broke into the woman's house, put a knife to her neck and forced her into a room where he raped her.
