And as we close tonight, we make overdue notice of the passing of former Justice of the Court of Appeal in Belize and retired President of the Court of Appeal of Jamaica, Dennis Morrison who died on February 3rd, 2024.
By all accounts, Morrisson was a beloved figure, both as a law school lecturer and judge where he was considered a patient, gracious and courteous judge.
Belize Chief Justice Louise Blenman's statement notes that "he had a remarkable career spanning over forty-eight years." She calls him "humble, generous, respectful, and brilliant."
