And as for nomination day in Corozal, Jomarie Lanza went to her hometown - where the PUP was first to nominate:
The Blue Party began things on a bright note this morning in Corozal Town with a turnout of more than 100 supporters. We caught the mayor just as they began to gather up to march from Altamira to the Corozal Magistrates Court where the nominations took place.

"What's the energy like out here today?"

"The energy just the start, its early in the morning. You know we are ready for this we are ready long time, march 6th we can't wait. Its nomination day a very important day but weve started showing our muscles and the energy one time."
"The expectations are very high you know this is a town that is very energetic we are looking forward to elections especially now that we have the PUP as central government and a town council maybe that will definitely return into office."
And as they emerged from the courts now one step closer to the possibility of securing another term in office, Vellos and his councilors shared with us that they will be making their final rounds these next two weeks encouraging voters to " Stay Pan Track"

"Nothing new just that we will continue the work and we will continue to visit the people and pledge for their support which im sure the people will on the 6th of march."

"I'm very optimistic and positive looking forward to better things for Corozal. All I can say is that to the Corozal people to stay tuned because big things coming for Corozal. Once we are elected there will definitely be more work and more progress under the PUP and Uno stay pan Track Stay on Track!"
