ComPol Says There Are Some Duties Women Can't Do
posted (March 20, 2024)
And while these women "can", the compol didn't shy away from telling us what these women Can't do in policing duties:

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Well there are certain tasks that we would never give to a woman because again the nature of a woman being a woman there are certain things that we will never put them to do like for example, doing jungle patrol, the SPUs who patrol along the borders we would not send a woman there. Even though I am sure that if you put it to some women they would be willing to go. but we do understand that because of a woman being a woman it would not be appropriate for us to be able to put them there. So while there may be some critics who say that, you know, women speaks of equality, but there are still some tasks that they still cannot perform that does not mean that they cannot go into the jungle that there is not equality. There are still some tasks that the woman can perform. There are many other tasks and you find that sometimes When you put women to do a certain task and they do better than the men so again we must give recognition where it is due and those women officers who are being recognized today I salute them for that job well done."
