ComPol Says No Evidence For Nah's Claim
posted (April 11, 2024)

Last week you heard from prosecutor Alifah Elrington on a complaint made by accused Elmer Nah who is currently on trial as part of the Bladen 12. Nah alleges that since the commencement of the trial during his transportation to and from the courts he has accused an inspector in charge of his transfer of threatening him. When we spoke to Elrington she told us that if Nah tried to challenge the matter in court they have sufficient video evidence to prove that his claims are false. When we asked the compol about the incident today he backed up Elrington's position on the surveillance and body camera footage they have obtained.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"The matter of the escort I believe I have addressed that in full. We have looked at the surveillance footage from the van that normally does the escort as well as the body cam footages from the police officers who conduct these escorts and there is nothing absolutely not one iota of evidence to support the claim that Nah is making."

"Nah is very crafty and Nah has an attorney who is 10 times more craftier than he is so I don't know what else to say other than what we have said to you that we have done the investigation and there is nothing to show that as he is claiming that there is reckless driving, no there is none. There is none the for the van is there, and there is no evidence to show that he has been threatened by anybody who escorted him. But there is a report of him being threatened."
