Since April 15th, Ellis Meighan has been a wanted man in Belize - wanted for questioning in the murder of Roy Lee Burgess and the attempted murder of Maia James.
But he has been on the run. That is until he was caught by US authorities after entering or trying to enter that country illegally. Online records show that he was held at a Detention Center in San Diego since last week.
Well, 7News has confirmed that US authorities have been apprised that he is wanted in Belize as a person of interest in a murder. And now, they are coordinating his deportation to Belize - where he is expected to be charged.
