He Killed His First Cousin But May Be Unfit to Stand Trial
posted (September 27, 2024)
In October of 2019 Jayme Marin was remanded for two criminal offenses of murder and attempted murder that happened in Caye Caulker.

He was accused of murdering his cousin 17 year old Isaac Marin, and attempted to murder his other cousin Carlos Marin, but there is no telling what the outcome of his case may be due to his mental state.

33 year old Jayme Marin appeared in court today for a competency hearing to determine if he is mentally fit to stand trial and understand the proceedings in court.

He appeared before Justice Nigel Pilgrim, and was represented virtually by attorney Richard "Dickie" Bradley. Marin was informed that a psychiatric examination would be conducted on him to determine if his trial will commence. His trial is expected to begin on October 10th.

We note that Marin was out on bail previously but was remanded again after the family informed the court that they faced difficulties in getting him to attend court dates and take his medication.
