She was almost burnt to death by her common law. and tonight police are saying that there was some history of violence between 30 year old Karima Logan and her 24 year old partner Travis Lopez.
Police told us more today about the couple's near deadly dispute in Independence village on Thursday night:

"Upon their arrival they saw Karima Logan with burn injuries. She was taken to the hospital for treatment and investigation reveals that she had a domestic dispute with Travis Lopez who threw gasoline on her and lit her on fire. An investigation was carried out and Travis Lopez has been arrested and charged for the crime of attempted murder."
"There was one report and it was dealt with."
