A man was stabbed to death last night in his own yard in the Yabra area. And, tonight, police are in search of a single suspect after finding the murder weapon.

Somewhere along this dark alleyway in a neighborhood on Reggae Street, Floyd Hyde's armed murderer, waited for him to emerge from this two a storey board structure. Just after 7:00 last night, police received info that 35 year old was found lying in a pool of blood on top of this zinc material. Investigations revealed that Hyde resided in the structure, along with his common law wife, Anna Warrior, and her daughter, April Warrior.
The common law informed police that she was inside when Hyde stepped out to go to the store, and not long after he left, she heard a commotion outside. Fearing for her life, she called the police. But it wasn't until her daughter arrived home. A few minutes after she called that they discovered Hyde's body with multiple stab fatal wounds.
A knife was found at the scene and Hyde was declared dead on arrival at the KHMH. The neighbors in the area say that it would be hard to identify the culprit, given that the area is poorly lit at night.
According to our records, this is the first murder in Belize City since August 4th.
