And if Panton's prediction comes through and more than 50% of the delegates vote for a new leader and chairman - what happens then? Barrow isn't planning to go gentle into that good night so who will be the real UDP? Will Panton use force to eject Barrow?
She says they're not planning on any confrontations nor do they plan to expel anyone from the party. But she told us she's planning to do whatever it takes to save her party.

"We will get the mandate on Sunday from the highest decision makers in this party which are our delegates. And when we are given that mandate, we're going to follow the mandate and we are going to lead. Wherever that takes us, we are prepared to go. Let me tell you, I have put myself on the line for Belize's democracy, so there's no retreating for me. I will go as far as we need to go."
"We're only trying to right our ship. And let me say why, because when you have one of two mass parties yielding to a dictatorship, you can be assured that will follow next in the country."
Courtney Menzies:
"Do you believe this will end up in the court of law because at the end of the day, Mr Barrow and Mr Peyrefitte, they're the ones with the keys to the headquarters?"

"You make a lot about a headquarters and a key to a building. It's a building, for God's sake. The UDP is an institution that is 51 years old. The institution is not the building, the institution is the people whose blood, whose tears, whose sacrifice has built the institution over 51 years. I'm not so concerned about the keys to a building. The mandate will be cleared we will lead."
