There has been another daring daylight armed robbery in Belmopan. It happened last Friday at BWEL, which is right across from the police training academy - but police didn't report on it.
According to reports, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a man arrived on the compound riding a blue scooter. An employee stepped outside to serve him and the man dressed in black clothing and wearing a full helmet, ordered him back into the building.
Once inside, the customer turned robber produced a firearm and demanded that Padilla hand over the day's earnings. Fearing for his life, Padilla complied and handed over more than two thousand dollars in cash. The assailant then fled the scene.
