46 year old store owner Harish Kishanchand - seen here in a blue shirt - who is accused of human trafficking a 21-year-old Indian national worker must stand trial at the January 2025 session of the High Court.
His preliminary inquiry for trafficking in persons after being charged 2 months ago - was concluded in what is known as a paper committal.
The 21-year-old claims he was treated inhumanely by his boss and not fed properly while his passport was held against his will.
Kishanchand's attorney is Jacqueline Willoughby while the crown was represented by the DPP herself, Cheryl Lynn-Vidal who submitted more than 2 dozen statements including electronic evidence in the form of DVD's and several pictures.
