posted (October 30, 2024)
There was another murder in the South, only this time it happened in the village of Red Bank and the victim is a special needs individual. Jomarie Lanza spoke with the family of the deceased today and here's what she found out.

The body of 24 year old Wilmer Che was discovered yesterday Afternoon somewhere within this dumpsite in the village of Red Bank. Police Officers from Independence found Che with no shirt, lying face up with an apparent cut wound to his body. Che was a specially needs individual, and often roamed the village unsupervised. His sister who lives in San Roman spoke with us today about the tragic loss of her younger brother.

Irma Che, Sister of Deceased
"I received a call yesterday around 5:30 so when I came in from work and the police told me they needed my brother's documents but I thought that they needed his documents because he got detained or something but no the police told me he has a bad news for me, and I asked him what and he said your brother died. I asked him how and he said they killed my brother, they cut his throat and stabbed him on his chest. I don't know what happened."

"My brother I don't know what happened to him or if he has a mental problem I don't know because we tried our best we talked to him as much as we can but now that he's gone we can't do nothing."

Che says that the family tried their best to take care of her sibling because of his condition, and still it came as a shock to them that anyone would want to hurt her baby brother.

"Do you know if your brother had problems with anyone?"

Irma Che, Sister of Deceased
"Well since I've been here I have not heard anything about him or complaints all people are saying since he died is that whenever he would pass, he was very respectful, he does not disrespect anyone. And that's what hurts me because he does not sleep at home. Sometimes he goes to sleep at the Riverside, by the Creekside or wherever he goes to sleep. We tried to tell him to sleep at home. We give him clothes, but I don't know what happened to him but they should not kill my brother like this. I know he is not correct but they shouldn't kill him like this but I leave everything in gods hands only he knows who did this to my brother but one day that person will pay for it."

"Yes I am in shock because who could do this to my brother I know my brother good."

Police haven't detained anyone.
