We went from Tropical Storm Nadine to what seems like endless days of rain. And it will continue into the weekend. We spoke to the Senior Climatologist at the Met Office about the current weather trend:
Shanea Young, Senior Climatologist
"Overall over our area we have very moist and somewhat unstable conditions prevailing. For the last few days. We got somewhat of a break for the most the earlier parts of yesterday, but for many areas, especially along coastal and north shore areas, they have been receiving rainfall since this morning. It has decreased slightly and has moved inland. But there are some showers that are approaching the country."
Reporter:
"How soon could we start seeing those that next wave of showers?"
Shanea Young, Senior Climatologist
"And could we start seeing those that that next wave of show us? I would say maybe like in the next 2 hours or so, families in the area, but the southern and western parts of the country are getting late rains at the moment."
We did that interview in the early afternoon.
