She's accused of hooking up with a male suitor on Facebook, spending the night with him and then leaving in the morning with his Nike air tennis shoes along with a few pounds of snapper and lobster. The allegation is that last Tuesday she stole $730.00 worthy of items from 52 year old Robert Palacio, 52, a Musician of Curl Thompson Street.
Well, today, 20 year old Kimane Garbutt, aka Kimmy Boo appeared in Magistrate's court charged with one count of theft. Garbutt, who is pregnant, pleaded guilty, but the Magistrate did not accept her plea. Why? because she claims she had a deal with her accuser, that she will hold the items until he paid her boat fare. Since Garbutt was in disagreement with the facts as to what transpired, the sitting Magistrate entered a not guilty plea on her behalf and the matter will have to go to trial.
Garbutt was offered bail in the sum of $1,500 dollars.
