A San Ignacio school is prodding over a major burglary that saw them lose 17 projectors, a complete PA system, computers and cash.
It was discovered yesterday afternoon at Bishop Martin RC School. Surveillance Video showed 3 persons covered up and running away from the office around 2:22 am on Sunday morning.
Principal Abimael Waight told us what all they stole:

"It happened, we had video footage of the perpetrators who came to this, from the video footage, there were three of them. It happened from midnight around 12, I think 12:22 a.m. We had a projector almost for each class and imagine they just went along with everything that we had here."
"We felt that we were left here to start from all over again, from the beginning. But I remain optimistic that we are going to get information, we're going to get back to our things and we know that they are very kind-hearted people out there that are going to provide us a little lending hand."
"It very much saddens that we have persons who are doing this to schools. Teachers, parents and students here at Bishop Martin have been working very hard to fundraise for items that went missing such as projectors. We had our PA system, wireless microphones, we even had some money that was already allocated for Children's Day. All of that they took the total value like around $11,000 that went missing. We asking again for the assistance of the general public or any person who hears or knows something to give us an assistance."
Anyone wanting to help with leads on the stolen items or to help the school in replacing them can call the principal at 622-7493.
