About three hours before that robbery, a couple was shot while inside their home in Libertad Village. 31 year old Edwin Gomez and 33 year old Reina Tobar heard the dogs barking and when Gomez went outside to check, she came under fire. ACP Romero has the details.

"Police visited the hospital where they found Edwin Gomez and Reina Tobar with gunshot injuries. Edwin Gomez reported he was at home when he heard his dogs barking. He came out to make checks. That is when he heard several gunshots and realized he was shot."
"The person followed him and fired more shots. And also injured was his common-law-wife, Reina Tobar. We have one person in custody in regards to this shooting. They both remain in stable condition of the hospital."
