And while Finnegan managed to get Shyne and Tracy to the same podium - it went no further than that. There were no niceties exchanged, no peace talk in the margins. Finnegan - who was very determined to give them both respect -while not referring to either as party leader - said that he hopes they learn one less from him, and that is L-O-V-E:

"If the UDP come together, there might be a glitter of hope. If they remain the way they are, we are looking at a Barbados situation or a Grenada situation or a 1961 Belize situation."
In 1961, the opposition didn't win a seat, so the Colonial Governor had to appoint two opposition members, Phillip Goldson and Horace Young to serve.
