PACT has a new Executive Director - but he's not new to the organization. Abil Castaneda - was the representative for the Ministry of Tourism and Diaspora Relations on the PACT Board - and he has now been hired as its new Executive Director.
Casteneda has worked at the Tourism Board and Ministry of Tourism for over a decade and acted in many senior capacities including Chief Tourism Officer, and acting Chief Executive Officer. He holds a master's degree in Tourism Management, Tourism and Travel Services Management from Universidad Regiomontana in Mexico.
Casteneda takes over after almost 9 months without an ED. Executive Director Nayari Perez - who was with the organization for 20 years and left on less than amicable terms in March.
