Tonight, multiple police units are responding to a crime scene near Hattieville village where two badly decomposed bodies have reportedly been found.
Police strongly suspect these could be the bodies of missing men, cousins Marvin Cantes and John Raymundo, last seen on November 26th. The two Salvapan residents were heading from Belmopan eastbound to the Belize District. But their vehicle was found abandoned a day later with the engine running on the road to the Sanitary Landfill.
Since then, there have been intensive searches for them that have yielded nothing. But, tonight there is the suspicion, but we stress no confirmation, that these two reported decomposed bodies may be theirs.
Information coming in after the news tells us that in fact the bodies were not found but police instead found a shallow grave where a body or bodies had been buried but likely later moved. They did find physical evidence including human blood and a pair of tennis shoes in the area.
