But one man who has already been charged for arson was arraigned today. Manuel Moralez is the 22 year old accused of torching three luxury SUV's owned by Bob and Sanjay Hotchandani.
Morales is being accused with several others for setting the 3 vehicles on fire. Police say he was caught in the act on surveillance footage but investigations continue as police try to link the others involved.
Morales - who is from Sandhill - appeared before the Chief Magistrate where no plea was taken due to the nature of the offence.
The prosecutor strongly objected to bail because of the possibility that if given bail, Moralez will abscond and so he posed a threat of being a flight risk.
The Chief Magistrate agreed and so despite arson being an offense for which bail can be offered, she agreed with the Prosecutor's objections and denied him bail. Moralez's next court date is set for January 28, 2025.
