Surveillance Camera Shows Well Orchestrated Hit
posted (January 10, 2025)
Surveillance footage has been leaked showing the moment that 31 year old Giovanni Ramirez was ruthlessly gunned down. He was shot multiple times through the driver's side window of his vehicle as he headed north on Amandala Drive.

Police are still investigating what led to his death, but what may be the only footage from the scene is hardly decipherable.

Courtney Menzies broke it down. Here's that story.

31 year old Giovanni Ramirez was murdered in broad daylight in Belize City yesterday. His death was an execution - surveillance footage shows his red Ford Explorer driving down Amandala Drive, heading towards Mahogany Street, when a motorcycle appeared from out of Rose Lane. The persons on the motorcycle then pulled out a weapon and fired at least 12 shots - though that isn't clear in the video. The Explorer then swerves right and crashes into a fence. The entire incident lasts about 10 seconds but will leave a family grieving for a lifetime.

Though the murder occurred in the PIV area, and though it seems that Ramirez was being monitored, yesterday the ComPol said that they haven't ascertained a motive just yet.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"He had just left an area on Cemetery Road and he was going to set sight to see his family who lives in set site when he was attacked by two men on a motorcycle."

Courtney Menzies:
"They believe he was followed and ambushed?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Well it does appear that they might have been monitoring him from some time because he had left home where he lived on Levi Slusher Street. And from there he went to see an attorney. And from there he went to the tire shop on Cemetery Road. And from there, he was going to set sight when he was ambushed by two persons on the motorcycle who fired the fatal shots at him."

Courtney Menzies:
"Since it happened on PIV turf do you believe it was some rival gang related business?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"We're looking at people from PIV and other areas as suspects."

Reporter:
"Specifically BLC?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"We're looking at people from PIV and different areas as suspects."
