This afternoon police found a stash of weed at a home in the Lake Independence area. Acting on intelligence, police went to a two bedroom home on Lavender Street and conducted searches in the first room which the 46 year old homeowner says belongs to his son. Police saw an opening in the ceiling, climbed in and discovered 5 Parcels with the label "Gorilla Glue" on it.
4 of the parcels were sealed and the other was already opened. The resident was arrested and taken to the Raccoon Street Station with the drugs which were weighed In the presence of a JP and it amounted to a total of 4 1/2 pounds. His 16 year old son is now being sought to be charged for drug trafficking.
