The public utilities commission has given limited approval to Elon Musk's Starlink internet service. The PUC has restricted Starlink Belize operations to emergency situations and unserved or underserved areas after denying its application for a Class Licence to provide fixed and mobile internet services in Belize. End-users can import and operate Starlink terminals under three conditions: in unserved or underserved areas, on vessels and aircraft under Earth Station in-Motion regulations, and during natural disasters when other services are unavailable.
