The Guacamallo bridge on the Caracol Road is being upgraded - so drivers are warned to expect very big beams moving down the highway.
Each beam is 130 feet long and weighs 124,000 pounds and there are a dozen of them.
They started moving on Monday, and will continue to be moved up to Monday,February third.
They will be transported on the Philip Goldson Highway from Ladyville, along the Burrell Boom Road, George Price Highway, and the Caracol Road to their final destination at the Guacamallo Bridge,
The Ministry of Infrastructure Development warns that "along the Caracol road, at narrow sections, motorists may experience delays of up to two hours due to the closure of the road while the beams are repositioned to clear obstacles."
The public is advised to exercise extreme caution when approaching and navigating past the heavy equipment, as these beams may take up the entire width of the highway.
