Tonight, there are credible reports that Leroy Almendarez is no longer the CEO at the Belize Social Security Board.
Employees received a cryptic email this envying saying, quote, "management wishes to inform you that with immediate effect Deputy Jerome Palma will be acting as CEO, until further notice."
It is unclear what happened with Almendarez who left the top spot at Beltraide to take over SSB in August of 2024.
We did reach out to him, the Chairlady and the PR officer for confirmation but up to news time we had gotten no response.
