And because of the dispute over the circumstances of the murder, right now this is NOT being treated as a murder investigation. Rather it is a death investigation. The Commissioner explained why:

"The file, based on the complexity, as you have even described this morning, what is being said by one side and what is being said by the other side, we will have to send the matter to DPP. Because obviously, the other side are claiming self-defense."
