And, the Belize Port Authority sent out a release today blasting Sunup on 7's Monday Morning Beef for broadcasting this schedule of payments which according to our information is associated with a computer system contract that was proposed to the Port Authority.
A stormy release says, quote "The Belize Port Authority categorically refutes the claims and comments made during a segment of..."Sun Up On 7"...which suggested an alleged contract involvement of the BPA with a foreign company known as Jotaefe. The segment included what was referred to as a "payment schedule" underpinning such an agreement. The Belize Port Authority wishes to clarify unequivocally that it has not entered into any contract or agreement with Jotaefe. No such signed contract exists..."
The Port authority says, quote "maritime operations continue to be characterized by reliability and trustworthiness."
