PSU President Says Redistricting Is Part Of The Groundswell Of Frustration
posted (February 7, 2025)
And aside from the SSB issue, the BNTU protest, and the other public officers expressing their disgruntlement with the government, the PUP also has the redistricting lawsuit hanging above their heads.

The PSU President has often expressed his concern that both political parties refuse to address the glaring issue of unevenly distributed constituencies. Today he said that coupled with the padding of the voters list as seen in Cayo North is part of the reason for the growing frustration of the public.

Dean Flowers, President, PSU
"When you have both political parties defending an unconstitutional electoral system, where our voting rights and the value of our vote is concerned, where my vote value more than your vote, and the two political parties defend that nonsense, then how can you say to me that I'm supposed to believe in peaceful, constructive revolution?"

"No, that requires much more than peaceful, constructive. That requires people to get up off their laurels and demand the change that is necessary. And I want to, having touched on that, I really want to commend Mr. Enriquez and his team for bringing this matter back at the forefront of the justice system, and I'm hoping that they go through with their lawsuit, because it's an injustice, it throws away the principles of democracy, and it is really shameful, it is really shameful that the Prime Minister would view this as an attack on his government, rather than supporting such a movement which attempts to rectify or broken electoral system, which is supposed to guarantee us, in truth, a government by the people and for the people. And it's a shame that not much has been done either, where the corrupt padding of those voters lists us for our concern."

"It's a shame what we saw, what occurred in Cayo, where you have almost 300 people registered to five bedrooms. Those things are shameful, and those things are what causes all this frustration to build up."
