And if you're puzzled at why Fonseca is still the Minister of Foreign Affairs - well that's because - as we told you last night - Ministers and Ministers of State retain their portfolio assignments until the day of elections as a caretaker government.
Fonseca, who has the biggest portfolio - explained that today:
Francis Fonseca, Minister of Education
"The cabinet has not been dissolved, the National Assembly has been dissolved. The constitution provides that the executive remains in place until the elections are complete so until the votes are counted and new representatives are declared then the executive of the country which is the cabinet conditionally carries out their powers and authority until that time."
"Yes, elections are on March 12th so you know obviously as a representative of Freetown I have to be engaged in campaign and political work but of course I also have ministerial duties which I have to carry out. I am doing that today so it is a balance but obviously this is a political season, campaigning season so you know we are carrying out our work and finishing up some of the projects we started and then as I said campaigning, campaigning obviously takes priority right now."
