The Christian Workers Union is crying foul tonight. They say that the Essential Service Arbitration Tribunal set up by government is biased against stevedores.
In a letter to the Minister, they note that the majority of its members are appointed by the government in a dispute with the Port of Belize which is owned by the government.
They call it a, quote, "blatant and clear conflict of interest" and urge the government to do what it calls "the honorable and right thing" by correcting an unjust situation.
