And if he does lead his party to do the redistricting - it might be one of the PM's parting gifts to the electorate. As we have reported, the PM says the March 12th election is his last - and somehow - even though he has no clear successor - he expects to defy Belize's political history and make an orderly passing over of power to his successor - whoever that is:

They will have to go to the people of Orange Walk Central to be able to quite likely have a convention and whoever the party decides will be their next candidate. Whenever I retire then I will support that person."
