And in five days we'll know who will get what color or symbol - but when will we know who's running under Barrow's slate? Neither UDP faction has launched their candidates yet, and with the clock ticking, we asked Peyrefitte when voters will know what their options are.
Reporter
"When will we be seeing these candidates?"
Michael Peyrefitte, SB UDP Chairman
"You will be seeing them when you'll be seeing them very soon. It will be before nomination. Hey it's our party, not your party."
Reporter
"But people want to know who is going to represent them, who they should be voting for."
Michael Peyrefitte, SB UDP Chairman
"And our people know, and our people will be formally introduced very soon."
Reporter
"Are you able to see if the party has chosen another candidate for collet, because I know some days ago...."
Michael Peyrefitte, SB UDP Chairman
"Our candidates will be put out there very soon, and you will know exactly who is running."
Reporter
"All 31?"
Michael Peyrefitte, SB UDP Chairman
"Well, you will see."
Reporter
"Sir, talked about the decision to select that individual, though, only because you were there when Mr. Barrow fully endorsed her and defended her. What went into that decision?"
Michael Peyrefitte, SB UDP Chairman
"We move forward. We move forward. We are moving forward. That is behind us. We're moving forward. Very soon you will get clearly who our candidates will be for the next general election."
Reporter
"How can you guys ensure that you don't make that mistake again?"
Michael Peyrefitte, SB UDP Chairman
"How can you make sure that you don't make any mistake? You make mistakes in life. I mean, you don't know what you will do. You never know what you will encounter. You never know what you will face. A day in politics is a lifetime, and many things can happen with many people. So, I mean, hey, I mean, who would have known that people would have sat on a stage and say, this is our party leader going into next general elections and then turn around and say, we don't care what you say.... So anything can happen. Anybody can turn on you. This is the business of politics."
