In the pre-election flurry to cut all available ribbons, the town of Punta Gorda will have a major new government building.
The Ministry of Infrastructure Development will be constructing a new Belize Tax services Building in the town that will also house the Treasury department. Breaking ground today was a team of political all stars including Toledo East and West Area Reps Osmond Martinez and Oscar Requena, Town Mayor Carlos Galvez, and Manager of Assets and Utilities MOF Ashton Longsworth.
The 3 story structure projected to cost 1.9 million dollars is expected to take 11 months to complete. The contract has been awarded to LN Diverse Consultants Ltd.
Their press release details that "MIDH will be responsible for providing certain materials with a view to streamline the construction process.
