DPP Will Appeal, Says It's Her Duty To Get Justice For Dwayne

Following the ruling, DPP Cheryl Lyn Viidal issued a statement saying, quote, "We strongly, though respectfully, disagree with every single finding of the trial judge. We will continue to try, as is our duty, to get justice for Dwayne, his wonderful supportive mother, his little sisters, and the community we serve. We are awaiting our copy of the 35 page written judgment, so that we can finalize our Notice of Appeal. We are of the view that the evidence was sufficient and we will maintain that position until the highest Court tells us otherwise." End quote.
