The Commissioner also discussed the possibility that a member of the Lev Tahor cult from Guatemala may be hiding out in Belize along with 13 female minors.
As we have reported three suspected members of that group were sent back to Guatemala earlier this week - but one is still in hiding:

Certainly we do have reasonable cause to believe that they were in Belize or may still be in Belize and so we are on high alert we have notified our commanders across the country to be on the lookout for them."
"Again we appeal to the public once you see the photographs of those children if you would encounter them anywhere or someone that looks like them please let us know and let us respond the way we should with a view to see how we can capture those children return them to their rightful homes."
"I reiterate the point that if anybody have any information pertinent to these individuals I must say that they are dangerous people do not harbor them notify the police we will keep whatever information confidential. If you don't feel comfortable coming to the police you can use a 922 TIP number and you can share information there and then it will also come to the police."
